International Student Services: Plan Your Funding

Plan Your Funding

When you apply for your student visa, you will need to demonstrate your plan for funding your education. Here are the estimated costs of an academic year at McNeese State University. Many students are sponsored financially by members of their family or personal community, and many students use a combination of funding sources from McNeese or external organizations.

McNeese Funding

  • Based on your previous high school or college GPA, you may be eligible for one of the following McNeese scholarships: International Scholarships

  • If you are an incoming undergraduate freshman, you may be eligible for the Honors College scholarship. (Please note that only a few students out of many applicants are accepted into the Honors College each year.)

  • If you are a graduate student interested in a working assistantship, please contact your department head for more information.

External Funding

Many students fund their education through external scholarships, grants, or loans; below are some links to external funding information. These sources are not officially endorsed by McNeese; please be cautious and read all terms and conditions when applying to external funding sources.
