Borrowing Items From the Library

At the Frazar Memorial Library, we want to connect you to the information you need. If you need print materials, you can check the library catalog to see if it is available in the library (or as an ebook). If we don't have it, you can request it through interlibrary loan, or if you need something for frequent reference or long-term use, you can make a purchase request.

Items Held By the Library

Students, faculty, and Friends of the Library can check out books, videos, audio materials found in the library

Anyone with a current, valid McNeese ID or a current Friends membership card can check out material for a limited amount of time. With most items, currently-enrolled students and Friends may check out material for three weeks. Faculty and staff may check out items for a semester. Some items may have shorter or more restrictive lending times.

Interlibrary Loan

If you can't find what you are looking for in the library, request it!

The McNeese Frazar Memorial Library can deliver books, articles, videos, audio materials, theses, conference papers and more. McNeese students, faculty, staff, and Friends of the Library may request items not owned by the library. Books, videos, audio recordings, government documents, microfilm, theses and dissertations requested can usually be fulfilled. Photocopies of portions of journals, magazines, or newspapers can also be obtained, subject to the policies of the lending library and U.S. copyright laws.

Purchase Request

If you know of a book, video, journal, database, or other item that you think the library should purchase, please make a purchase request.

While we can't guarantee that we'll purchase everything, we do add items based on user suggestions, subject to available funds and appropriateness to the collection.
