The ALA and ACRL Framework for Information for Higher Education (2015) defines information literacy as follows:

"Information literacy is “the set of integrated abilities encompassing the reflective discovery of information, the understanding of how information is produced and valued, and the use of information in creating new knowledge and participating ethically in communities of learning."

Frazar Memorial Library collections are growing, and articles included in over 80 subscription databases are frequently changing.  The librarians are enthusiastic to share trade secrets on information literacy to all visitors - individually, groups, or classes.  We are eager to visit classes and offer presentations ranging from 15 minutes to an 90 minutes.

We request that you share with us your expectations (databases you want us to cover, website evaluation, plagiarism assistance, primary vs. secondary sources, etc.) and some possible search topics for demonstration purposes.  We typically use paper topics from previous semesters.
