  • MLA Handbook 8th edition treats interviews like published sources.

  • Prior editions of the MLA Handbook required you to explain the above was on television.  No more.
  • By mentioning the venue and the city, it is assumed in the 8th edition, that you are referencing a live performance (p. 50).
  • You can offer a medium at the end of the citation, as with previous editions; but 8th edition says that is optional.

Youtube - MLA does not specify how to cite Youtube videos.  The following is guesswork:

Kamara666. "The Hampsterdance Song." Youtube, 5 May 2007.

      https://youtu.be/1qN72LEQnaU.

Tweet (p. 24):

  • MLA Handbook 8th edition allows for pseudonyms to be used in place of the author, especially because the author is often unknown.

Last name, First name. "Tweet in its entirety."

      Twitter, Date, Time.

Jones, Jason. "My extra sensitive toothpaste is

      jealous of other toothpastes."  Twitter,

     25 May 2013.  4:04 PM.
