Citation Style Guides: Websites

General Form

Include as much of the information as possible.

The MLA Handbook 8th edition recognizes that internet material may have multiple dates of publication.  Use the date "most meaningful for your readers (pp. 42-3).

 

Author. "Title of document." Name of the Website. Publisher or

     sponsor of the website, Publication date.

 

Note.  Most reputable and authoritative websites will include an author who is proud of their work, a title for each page, a proud sponsoring website, and a date it was published (or even better, last updated).
