Interviews Sec. 7.10:

There are two different ways to cite interviews depending upon whether there is an audio recording or not. 


With audio recording:

Smith, M. B. (1989, August 12).  Interview by C. A.

      Kiesler [Tape recording].  President's Oral History

      Project, American Psychological Association.  APA

      Archives, Washington, DC.


Without audio recording:

Sparkman, C. F.  (1973).  An oral history with Dr. Colley

      University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg.

Informal student interview:

Fontane, W. M.  (2016).  A conversation with Mr.

Lectures/ Speeches

APA Style does not have a specific form/ example of this resource.

APA Style cites resources that are somehow archived and accessible to others.

Unless it is a crucial piece of your research, cite in-text:

For collections with multiple letters, you only need to cite the collection in your References list.  Your in-text citations should be more descriptive:

The APA 6th ed. does not show how to cite plays and performances. 

The following form is based on Sec. 6.18 regarding the citation of classical works:

No formal citation in references list; only cite in-text.
